Heyo! I’ve decided that for the next post in the series (#afangirlchristmas) I’m going to do a Christmas movie review. Now, there’s nothing better than curling up on the sofa with a nice hot drink (and food) with your family and watching a lovely movie, especially at Christmas time when there are more movies about. Every Friday and Saturday night, my family have movie nights.
And at Christmas, one of the most iconic Christmas movies that we will watch (or for me and my sister, in any case) is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
This movie is about a girl, Cindy Lou, who attempts to persuade The Grinch (above) to enjoy Christmas. The Grinch is actually the epitome of a teenager: he’s antisocial, lazy, over-reacts and his only companion is a dog. He’s also quite stubborn, as he doesn’t give into the attempts at loving Christmas until he’s won a competition of sorts, which wins him over.
This movie inspires a tale about the joy of Christmas, but also the loneliness of Christmas. It also includes one of my favourite Christmas songs (excluding Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas) Where Are You Christmas? by Faith Hill.
So, to conclude, we watch this film basically all the time. It’s a classic, and you must see it. So, join me next week with Christmas gift ideas. Bye!
